Highly recommend the round trip tour of Oman with Al Maamari tours. From pre planning to organising departure times Jasmine did a great job with the program and nothing was forgotten which made for a seamless holiday. Our guide was Yasser, a fun and energetic tour guide who had a passion for showing us the sights of Oman - he added extra parts to the tour where he thought we might be interested. I booked a private tour for myself and my sister through the Travel Local website. I submitted a query with the dates we’d be travelling to Oman and I was put in contact with Jasmin. She was in touch on the same day and proposed ideas for an itinerary that could be put together. I was in contact back and forth until we’d put together a plan which we were happy with and went ahead and booked.

Upon arrival to Oman we were greeted by one of the friendly team and taken to our hotel. Our main driver throughout our trip was Yasser who was extremely professional and friendly. He accommodated all of our needs and assisted us with any queries we had. We also had Nasser for our trip to Bimmah sinkhole and Wadi Shab. He was always very professional and friendly.

This was not only our first time to Oman, but our first time doing a private tour with a driver. After our experience, this will definitely not be our last time! Jasmine took the time to meet with us prior to our tour, and she answered all of our questions and saw to any concerns.

As for our tour, Aftab was a walking swiss-army knife. He was our driver, guide, historian, interpreter, and off-road adventurer! He saw to our every need, in some cases even before we were aware of the need, and a great conversationist. He truly made the trip as wonderful as it was!

Our only hope going forward is that, as we consider doing private tours in other countries, that those tour groups can keep up with the high bar that Al Maamari Tours set!

Bereits die Planung und die Vorbereitung der Reise war perfekt. Jasmin, unsere Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort, eine junge Schweizerin, welche seit mehreren Jahren im Oman lebt, hat uns perfekt beraten, ist auf unsere Bedürfnisse und Wünsche eingegangen und hat uns eine tolle Tour zusammengestellt.

Bei unserer Ankunft in Muskat wurden wir am Flughafen von Jasser herzlich willkommen geheissen und zu unserem Hotel gebracht. Nachdem wir uns ein paar Stunden ausgeruht hatten, wurden wir im Hotel von Jasser abgeholt und im Cabriolet durch Muskat chauffiert, mit anschliessender Sunset Dhow - Fahrt. Ein leckeres Abendessen im Strandrestaurant mit Jasim und Jasser war der krönende Abschluss unseres ersten Tages im Oman.

Am nächsten Morgen wurden wir von Aftab, unserem Guide für die nächsten 10 Tage, für eine Stadtrundfahrt inklusive Besuch der Grand Mosque, der Royal Opera und dem Muttra Souq, abgeholt.

Aftab ist ein gebildeter, interessierter und smarter Omani, der uns Geschichte, Politik Religion, Land und Leute näher gebracht hat. Für uns war dies so definitiv viel interessanter, lehrreicher, lebendiger und spannender, als alles selber in einem Reise-Führer nachlesen zu müssen!!!

Aftab war ein unglaublich aufmerksamer Reisebegleiter. Ob Dorfwanderungen, Wadi Hiking und Swimming, lange Wanderungen wie den Balcony Walk, Sonnen-Aufgang und Untergang in der Wüste, Aftab war immer für uns da und hat auch flexibel die Pläne angepasst, wenn wir dies gewünscht haben.

Als wir realisierten dass Aftab auch fliessend Italienisch spricht, haben wir spontan noch einige Italienisch-Lektionen während der Auto-Fahrt mit eingebaut.

Das Highlight aber war: Aftab isst genauso gerne und gut wie wir. Durch ihn haben wir auf unserer Tour viele kulinarische „Hidden Secrets“ erleben dürfen.

Anschliessend einige Tage Erholung im Kempinski und Shangri-La Al Husn machen den perfekten Abschluss unserer grossartigen Oman-Reise.

Wir haben mit einem befreundeten Ehepaar eine Privat-Rundreise durch den Oman bei Al Mamaari Tours gebucht. Schon die Planungsphase war sehr positiv. Wir konnten mit Jasmin von Al Mamaari auf Deutsch kommunzieren und somit die Reise unkompliziert auf unsere individuellen Bedürfnisse anpassen. Die Erlebnisse auf der Rundreise waren einfach wunderbar und übertrafen unsere Erwartungen. Dank unserem wundertollen Guide Adel war unsere Rundreise nicht einfach ein 08/15-Ding sondern unser ganz besonderes eigenes Erlebnis. Die Unterkünfte wurden bestens ausgewählt und waren den Orten angepasst, so nächtigten wir in Hotels, Guesthouses aber auch in Zelten. Ein grosses DANKE nochmals an Adel für seine Betreuung, seine Informationsvermittlung und seine Flexibilität und auch ein MERCI an Jasmin für die einwandfreie Organisation. Last week we really enjoyed our short trip to Oman. The trip was well organised and executed as scheduled . We have made use of a comfortable 4x4 car and a perfect driver/host. He was not only our driver but host and guide as well. Really interesting to hear the stories, history and back ground from a guide with passion . Please make sure to wear proper shoes if you visit the Wadis since it could be wet and slippery.

We just had a wonderful time with our family in Oman. The holiday was perfect organised. We were with 3 generations and did a lot of different activities together.

Our guide Aftab and the driver Salem were amazing. So friendly with the children and helpful with the grandparents. They listen to what we want and we could chance or add some activities to our programme.

The hotairballoon in the desert was fantastic!

Our flight had a large delay but the organisation knew it before we could pass the information.

We made a tour through Oman with Aftab as driver/guide. Aftab is great. He knows a lot about the history of Oman, about the customs and customs of the Omani, he thinks along with you, is flexible and drives you to the most beautiful places. The tour lasted about 7 days and that was enough to get a good idea of the northern part of Oman. In principle you can drive yourself in Oman, but we would have spent a lot more time if we had done that. Some routes are particularly steep and narrow, and may be difficult for us to find. It's nice to be in the car with someone who knows the road and is a good driver. And all the information you receive really has added value. We enjoyed this special country. I was followed to Oman for a FAMTRIP by this tour operator. The entire trip was organized in detail and with the maximum possible comfort. I had a wonderful time in Oman and enjoyed my trip very much. A big thanks to Al Maamari Tous for organizing. I went solo, but I booked a guide to travel with me. I don't regret it at all. The service was exceptional. Aside from driving me from A to B, he made tons suggestions, checked to always have water and answered many of my questions.

Since summer isn't the main season, there are less tourists and the prices are cheaper. I was warned it's hotter. But don't worry too much. It was usually around 39°C (less in the mountains). It really only gets unbearable from 12 to 3pm, when the sun is the highest.

We really enjoyed our trip, seeing so many different beautiful places. Climbing and swimming at Wadi Bani Khalid, Bimma sinkhole and Wadi Al Arbiyyin with brilliant photos of the landscape. Spectacular sunset in the desert at Wahiba Sands and in the mountains at Jebel Akhdar. Visiting the Falaj at Birkat Mouz and of course beautiful city of Nizwa. Our tour guide took really good care of us, provided water all the time, answered our millions of questions and showed us hidden view points for taking spectacular photos. A big thanks to Jasmin for organizing and preparing our trip and of course to our fantastic tour guide Hamed,for making this trip an unforgettable experience.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Ihr habt unseren Urlaub zu dem gemacht, was er war und er war einfach ein Traum in Real. Immer wieder gerne. Wir wurden bereits bei unserer Ankunft im Oman herzlichst von einem äußerst zuvorkommenden Fahrer empfangen. Al Maamari Tour nous a organiser notre voyage (autotour à Oman). Nous avions réservé l'avion de notre côté). L'organisation du voyage a été très précisément déterminée avec Jasmin, qui n'a pas ménagé son temps pour nous aider et nous conseiller, entre autre lors d'un meeting Zoom. Sur place, tout c'est bien passé, à chaque étape nous avions les meilleurs chambres dans les hôtels choisis. (attention toutefois, l'offre omanaise n'est pas toujours cinq étoiles). Al Maamari a exactement compris ce que nous cherchions, c'est très appréciable ! Nous n'avions pas demandé à Jasmin une localisation GPS précise des curiosités à visiter en province et c'était une erreur de notre part : les villes sont très étendues, la signalisation touristique inexistante et la cartographie des apps GPS parfois approximative.

We booked a full day trip to Nizwa and Grand Canyon in December. Aftab came to our hotel to pick up and then we spent a delightful day with him.

Jasmin organized a great experience: snorkeling with turtles, swimming with tropical fish as if you swim in an aquarium. When you are in Oman, this trip is a MUST. Last weekend we had a day trip to the 200 years historic museum Bait Al Ghasham outside Muscat. Very interesting! Followed an uphill trip in Landcruiser, 1500 m, up in the mountains to Wakan Village. Lunch, and a bit of hiking.

Then recognition trip in a nearby Wadi. The car bashing in the water was sensational. Yasser stated: "it cleans my car under". We met Al Maamari Tours trough the hotel that we stayed in Oman. We wanted to rent a car and the hotel gave us their contact. From then on everything was amazing, we got our car, tips for what to do and where to go and they organized a boat tour to daymanyiat islands for snorkeling.

At the Ramada Al-Ghubra Hotel I met employees of this company, including the boss and Jasmin (speaks German). They gave me detailed information about the possible tours. All individual wishes were catered for, and further questions could be clarified easily via Whats App.

I then booked three tours with Aftab (driver & guide). Muscat Half Day, Wahiba Desert and Jabal Akhdar & Nizwa. Some changes to the standard routes were possible without any problems.
